company. After seeing the results of your recent re-stain of our wood
floors, our next door neighbors appear to be ready to commit to a similar scale
of a project for their own home. What follows is a more detailed
critique:
Greatest Strengths:
Safety and cleanliness--we were able to occupy
part of the house each day of the project and, other than having to overcome
the powerful temptation to move back in before the floor was settled in at the
end, we never experienced any sense of hazard or incompleteness in preparation
and cleanliness of the work area.
Artisan skill--over a large area of old floor,
you achieved exceptional consistency of high quality appearance in the
floor. The redo of the old stairs and floor area that used to be covered
in carpet appears to be the result of someone who routinely does
miracles. The finishing touches of the many pieces of trim that were
removed to facilitate the work improved what was already there. The
closet doors re-installation also improved the functionality and appearance of
those doors.
Premium service--it would appear that your
artisans also have been well coached on the basic concept of "treat others
as you would like to be treated yourself." At every moment, they
were personable, respectful, courteous, knowledgeable and professional.
They were even mindful of our precious dog. On most days, we happened to
be coming in while they were on the way out from the project. In every
case, we had questions about "what's next?"..."when can we plan
to do this?"..."what about this area or that thing?"... In
their every response, even though I know many of the questions they had already
answered them earlier in the week or in the day, your artisans patiently
explained and re-explained and answered our questions.
Special requests and requirements--this relates
to the details described in the discussion of artisan skill. I'm sure
there were some substantial challenges in the newly floored area and the
sliding closet doors...very well done!
